Lake Singkarak (Danau Singkarak)
Lake Singkarak is the largest lake in West Sumatera and the second in the Island of Sumatera after Lake Toba.
Around this lake Tour de Singkarak, an international cycling race, is held. There are some motels and restaurant in this area. Lake Singkarak with around 129.70 square kilometers sits comfortably in two districts:
Solok and Tanah Datar. At the altitude of 362.5 meters above sea level this lake is the habitat of the endemic
fish called ikan bilih (small-size fish). The local sell this kind of fish and tourist can taste this one of a kind
